Title: Half World Cruise
Post by: Triggersmob on October 03, 2015, 01:36:18 AM
A friend of my Wife, just got back from a cruise, which went from Southampton, England to Fremantle, Australia via Iceland, The Americas, pacific Islands and New Zealand. Before she left my wife asked her to collect any loose change she might come across, so I could add it to my collection. I was shocked to find a huge pile of coins on the kitchen table for me. There must be about 200 or more coins. A lot of them I already had, but I still managed to find over 100 new coins.
Here are some of them...

She also found a few from other countries, which weren't visited.

I knew there was a method in her madness. LOL

I've run out of 2x2s now though, so I'll have to order a heap more from the U.S.
Exchange rate not good at the moment though. :(

Yes, I know very well what is problem when 2x2s are missing. I have enough beautifull coins put only in paper cases or in old damage 2x2s .  :( It is very good way how to store our coins but a little bit expensive. USD is strong now but on other side it is very good for our US friends  :D

Thanks Ken, Yes you can release that one back in to the wild.

Pocketcoins, last time I checked, it cost about 15c each to buy them locally.
I could import them from the U.S. for about 8c each including postage.
Now that our dollar has dropped, I'm not sure what they will cost now.

You have got to be the luckiest man in Australia. I can't find a penny on the ground and you have people bringing you piles of money from everywhere.

Keep rubbing that rabbits foot mate! The coins look awesome!
