I BELONG TO THE ORIGINAL HOBO NICKEL SOCIETY  (O.H.N.S.)--THIS GROUP CARVES OR ENGRAVES COINS,KNIVES,GUNS AND RIFLES----ALMOST ANY METAL AVAILABLE---BUT THE MAJORITY USE BUFFALO NICKELS---I HAVE SHOWN SOME ON MY LINKS---WELL THE FLORIDA SHOW IN ORLANDO IS WHERE IT TAKES PLACE AND THE NICKEL CARVERS HAVE A LARGE SECTION WHERE THEY SHOW AND SELL MANY OF THEIR CARVINGS AND THEY DEMOSTRAIGHT HOW THEY WORK---------------IF YOU ARE CURIOUS GO TO O.H.N.S..COM---AND LOOK THEM OVER---I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO ATTEND ONE OF THESE SHOWS YET BUT I AM SHOOTING FOR NEXT JANURARY---MAYBE SOME OF YOU HAVE SOME--LET ME KNOW--I HAVE OVER 260+---I THINK SOME OF YOU WOULD ENJOY SEEING THIS.........ATTACHED IS ONE EXAMPLE--THANKS TEMPLAR

To me, that coin is a masterpiece....unbelievable. Is the carver a well know carver? And, what would be the value of that nickel?

This is the only Hobo nickel I have.
I'm sure it was Joe that sent it to me.

I am also a OHNS member. Here are a few of the hobo nickels in my collection. I also picked up this 2013 hobo nickel FUN show token along the way. The storm trooper nickel is actually an over stamp made with a die carved by a hobo nickel artist.  The FUN show looks like one of the biggest coin shows in the country.  It could make a nice KOTCT field trip some year.

I LIKE THE IDEA OF TRYING TO MEET THERE NEXT YEAR--ITS SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT----------HOBO CARVINGS RUN AROUND $30--TO HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS---SOME USE COPPER AND--- GOLD INLAYED ON THEIR CARVINGS---------IF YOU HAVE A REQUEST FOR SOME THHING SPECIAL THEY CAN DO IT FOR A PRICE
