My friend sent me this from Arizona. He, in turn, got it from someone who (luckily) came back from Iraq.

I've got some extra Iraq notes (although not this denomination) if anyone is interested.

All the Saddam notes have been replaced by the new Iraqi government. At one time the 10,000 Dinar was rather expensive to buy (I know as I bought a couple) but have since put a few bucks into the new Iraqi dinar just to sit on. Sooner or later the value of the Dinar MUST come up and when they do....? After watching Ebay for quite some time it is apparent I am not alone in this thought process!
For what it is worth I have a complete set of the pre-war Saddam notes but I am not sure why?

I hear you Terry,
I kept this as more of an oddity, then anything else.

So have you bought any of the new Dinars? Not sure how many I do have as it has been a while since I purchased them but NOW my thoughts are back on obtaining a few thousand more! Guess I have to blame you for that?

I have just purchased 10 Saddam Hussein UNC Banknotes of various denominations.
Just waiting on them to arrive in the mail.

Barry I was referring to the new Iraqi Dinars that can be purchased at this tme for pennies on the dollar. There are a lot of folks speculating of this currency, seeing how Iraq is a huge oil country, and should it eventually stablize the value of their currency on the world market should go up. When you are only giving pennies per dollar it wouldn't have to go up much to make it a profitable venture would it? Just have to be patient and let history take its course.
