Title: What's your favourite U.S. coin series?
Post by: Triggersmob on August 08, 2014, 06:38:47 PM
Mine is the Lincolns cents and I have nearly a full set.
Just need 1914D and 1931S.

Here's some pics...
(Nothing fancy, just circulated coins)

My favorite series is the Jefferson nickel. I've been working on a set of proof and unc for awhile now. I don't know if I will ever get them finished or not. Some are really hard to find.

I have a many Jeffersons as well. I have complete KM#192 set from 1938 to 1942, but many holes after that. :)

My favorite is the Walking Liberty Half Dollar. I have a lot of empty slots in my album. But I do have several of the key dates. I'm hoping to be able to afford the 1921-D within the next 6 months. And then it will be a lot easier to fill the rest of the holes. I imagine that it will still be a few years before my set is complete though.

My favorite would be the Seated Dollar.
My favorite that I can actually afford to
collect would be the Lincoln Cent.

When Abe Lincoln was in the Illinois House
of Representitives he was a member of the
Sangamon (county) Delegation which  had
nine members. They were all  at least six feet
tall and were nicknamed: "The Longnine."   ;D

Longnine, thank you for that interesting piece of information.
Being six foot tall would have been unusual back then, so having
six of them together would have been very strange.
