Title: Sir George has been too generous.
Post by: ElleKitty on June 21, 2014, 02:24:06 AM
During the time that Mr. George has been visiting the US, I have received multiple surprises in my mailbox.  My husband is not only impressed, but amused at a package a day arriving for just over two weeks.

I wanted to show all the coins that were sent, and I think I got all of them into the scans.  They are full size scans from the scanner, so they will be HUGE!  Don't open on phones or slow computers, lol.

Have fun looking!  There are some great coins in here, not limited to the Indian 5 & 10 rupees with the Tiger motif, the Malta eurocents, and a 1974 Indian 10 paisa coin (at the top edge of scan 1) that is the same as one of the very first coins I ever (and I mean ever) collected 30 years ago.  I looked at it, and I swear I was ten years old again with a huge grin.

Wow, there are quite a few amazing coins in there. Not sure what it is, but my favorite is the Bi-metallic one dated 2000 towards the top.  The bi-metallic tiger coins are very cool too.

I think the one you're seeing SirStacksALot is the Ukrainian millenium coin.  Here is a more detailed view, from somewhere on the interwebs.  (http://img.ma-shops.com/erdmann/pic/715.0377-11-ukraine-2000-saemann-millennium.jpg)

Kitty, I also received some packages from George, with the Tiger coins too.
When I saw them, I thought of you and wondered if you had them.
I guess the answer is yes.  :)

I got to spend some time with Sir George while he was here and he is a real GENTLEMAN! We sat together at the coin club & chatted, then we all had breakfast together the next morning at Frank's Diner (Templars favorite hangout!). He is truly an amazing individual and a generous one as well! It was a great experience to be able to meet him!   :)
