Title: Some coins from Jose Martins - Thanks
Post by: SirStacksALot on June 20, 2014, 01:58:58 AM
I received a package from Jose in Portugal this week in the mail. He gathered quite a list of coins for me, and I am very grateful. Here are pictures of some of the coins. The first is my favorite, a Sancho II Dinheiro from 1223-1248.

The second set of pictures shown in this post is of the Portugese Numismatic Treasure Series.  I took pictures both before and after I placed them in airtights, and the lighting shows a little different details in the pictures, so I included them both. There are also pictures of my favorite 2 from the series by themselves.  They are the 2009 Morabitino de D. Sancho II, and the 2011 Portugues de D. Manuel I.

Here are a couple of cool uncirculated Euros, the 2 Euro from Portugal, and the 1 Euro from Greece. The third coin is a 1928 - 10 Escudos.  Thank you very much Jose for gathering these, and some other coins not shown here for me. I appreciate your help from across the pond.

I have to give the credit for the good taste to Jose. I asked him if he could find a cool medieval coin from Portugal, and he found a good one for me.
