Title: I am so lucky.
Post by: Triggersmob on January 14, 2014, 09:16:15 AM
Over the past year or so, I have gotten to know one of our customers really well.
He is from Germany and is even teaching me a few German words. I mentioned
to him that I collect coins and he promised to bring me back some from germany,
when he went back for Christmas. Anyway I just received the coins and he bought
me a pack of assorted Euro copper coins, he emptied his change from his pocket,
which gave me a selection of Euro coins from one cent to one Euro, but best of all
he bought back some coins from his Grandfathers collection. These are those coins...

Very nice, I am sure marks and 10 euro are valuable coins.

The German banks sold those silver 10 euro coins at 10 euro at the main banks
In other countries like Belgium they ask up to 30 euro for a silver 10 euro coin
I think the only euro coins I have are the Spanish Donquichote de la Mancha set
(apart from those I use to pay in the supermarket  ;D

In septembre a new 10 euro note will be launched

Yes but too much expensive  :-[  Now I everyday ask my mother about money for this coin :

http://www.nbs.sk/sk/bankovky-a-mince/eurove-mince/zberatelske/strieborna-zberatelska-minca-v-hodnote-10-eur-jozef-murgas-150

The coin will be issued 20/1/2014. This year it will be just one 10 euro coin and I heard that many foreign collectors want have this coin in collection. Mr. Murgas lived in the USA and he contributed to wireless telegraphy.

In 1905, Murgas achieved radio transmission between Wilkes-Barre and Scranton, Pennsylvania, distance of 20 miles (30 km).

The tone system is the use of two signals of different frequencies, i.e. Murgas substituted the "dot" of the Morse code with a higher tone and the "dash" with a lower tone (this is the 1904 patent "The way of transmitted messages by wireless telegraphy").

Thomas Edison paid remarkable attention to Murgas's experiments and he is said to have informed G. Marconi of Murgas's success. Murgas's lab in Wilkes-Barre was visited by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1905.

I have only a few day I broke my mom  :D :D :D

Another very nice coin.
Maybe you should see if you can make some money by walking people's dogs or washing their cars.
