WELL I WENT UP NORTH TO MY COTTAGE THIS LAST WEEKEND AND WHEN I WENT TO THE SPORTS SHOP AND TRIED TO BUY AMMO FOR MY 9MM-----I WAS TOLD THEY COULD ONLY SELL 3 BOXES OF AMMO PER PERSON PER DAY AND THE SHELVES WERE VERY THINLY STOCKED??????
THE SALESPERSON SAID IT WAS LIKE THAT ALL OVER THE STATE AND THAT EVEN OBTAINING CERTAIN GUNS FROM THE MANUFACTURER WAS DIFFICULT...........SO WITH THE HELP OF MY DEVOTED WIFE WE GOT 6 BOXES OF 50 SHOT 9MMS--FOR $16.00 A BOX.....BUT I FEEL SAFE BECAUSE MY PRESIDENT SAYS WE ARE SAFE----HOWEVER I THINK THAT HAS BEEN SAID BEFORE..................

It's the same here in central Minnesota. And IF the store had the ammo you need, you'd surely pay the price. About a month ago, I went into a very, very large sports store and they had no .40 cal., no 9 mm, and no .45 cal ammo. "In a few days, we expect a shipment and what we eventually get we don't know." As I heard, the greatest gun and ammo saleman in the U S is B O.

Twoshadows was saying the same thing on Facebook. Not much ammo where he lives either.
Me, I don't care, I don't need any ammo. ;)

Even 22 ammo is tough to get around here. :o
I see all these poles on TV about what the public wants, more gun control, back ground checks, smaller mags. Now my question is does anyone know anyone who has ever been ask what you want? ??? ::) Not one time has my phone rand and there be someone on the other end of the line asking me now just what is your opinion. But every time I turn on the TV I see where they all know what we want.

It seems like ALL ammo is getting harder to get. Both of my brothers have been looking for .223 ammo and having a hard time. I have a friend who works for an ammo company, and they can't make enough of it. He goes to potential customers trying to make a sales pitch, and they don't want to hear it. They just tell him to shut up and sell them as much ammo as possible :D

So where is all this ammo going.
Are you guys stocking up for WWIII?

Steve, it's the threat of having guns registered and then confiscated and also limits on purchasing ammo. Chicago had a 'no guns allow' and there are no gun shops in the city and are fighting the supreme court now on the court's ruling that the city's laws are unconstitutional. Hmmm, I don't see why.....Chicago 'only' had 804 murders in 2012.
