Did you set any collecting goals for 2012 and did you achieve them.
I wanted to take my collection to 5000 different coins and nearly achieved 6000,
so I am very happy with this years effort.
What about you?

I started the year off not very interested in coins I must admit. Seemed like every one was caught up in the silver market and not the collecting part of coins. Seen a lot of great coins of histry go to the melting pot. Very sad. :( And lets not forget the U.S. mint trying to shove a new coin at us every couple weeks. :o But now it seem like we are starting to get back to true collecting. ;D I returned to my older coins and am working on my world coins again. Looking forward to a new year of collecting and improving my coin photography. ;D ;D ;D

The only problem with a new year is, it means a whole heap more coins to add to the list, if you collect by year.

My collecting goals for each year are set by the US Mint and the UK Royal Mint based on what they actually decide to release to circulation for each year.
Thanks to a good collector friend in the US, I am current 2012 US coins.
While I still need UK coins going back to 2010, despite me living in the UK.
Will collect coins from other countries if I seem something that sparks my interest.
For example, I had to get a 2012 10 Years of the Euro - 2 Euro coin from Greece when it looked like they might stop using the Euro.
I did complete my circulated Franklin Half dollar set.
