THE AMISH WEAR HEAVY WOOL COATS AND THE WOMEN WEAR HEAVY WOOLEN CAPES AND WORKING OUT DOORS SO MUCH THEY DON'T FEEL THE COLD AS MUCH AS THOSE WHO DON'T--------BUT COLD IS SOMETHING EVERYONE FEELS EVENTUALLY---NO MATTER HOW YOU DRESS---I LOVE WINTER BUT EVEN I CAN'T TAKE THE DAY WHEN THE WIND IS BLOWING---IT CUTS RIGHT THROUGH YOU....................

The orange kind of color I see looks to me like one of the triangular reflective things they put on their wagons so cars on the road can see them.

We have the opposite problem here. Christmas day we are expecting 39C (102F) and we don't have air con. I better get the pool clean quickly.

Ya really know how to hurt us northern hemispere folks don't you Steve. Now (9:45 pm-12-21-12 CT) it's +9 F (-14 C) with 1' (30 cm) snow on the ground. If someone's really tough, they don't whine about the cold or heat.

MICHIGAN LAW REQUIRES THAT AMISH BUGGIES AND WORK WAGONS HAVE REFLECTIVE TRIANGLES ON THE BACK ................MOST DO --BUT NOT ALL AND IN A RURAL AREAS THERE AREN'T TOO MANY POLICE WHO CARE WHAT THE AMISH DO--BESIDES TRIANGLES OR NOT SOME FOOLS STILL MANAGE TO PLOW INTO THE WAGONS EVEN ON BRIGHT SUNNY DAYS--I GUESS SOME DRIVERS GET FIXED ON THE ORANGE AND GET PULLED RIGHT TOWARD IT..........."STUPID" IS UNIVERSAL............

I have the clothing for any cold Mother Nature can throw at me so I stay pretty active in the winter. Its summer I have a problem with. You can only take off so much clothing before the law steps in! ;) The key to winter is acutally getting out there in it and getting used to it!
