The newest addition to my Australian collection. :)

elle
did u find this coin.
-
Nice coin, Kitty.
First time I have seen this one.
-
I found it. On Ebay. >.> Don't see too many Australian coins circulating in Texas, unfortunately. It'd be a lot more interesting if I had!
It's the first time I'd seen this coin too. ^^ That's why I decided to go a whole $5 on it.

Triggersmob, is this the first you have seen or do you mean this is the first you have seen found in circulation?
For those of you who would like a copy, I have a spreadsheet containing pictures of Australian NCLT $1 dollars. Send me a email with an address that I can send a spreadsheet to, as I don't believe I can post it here.

It's the first one I have seen. I think I must have been living under a rock and missed a few along the way. The Banjo Patterson $1 I found the other day was one I hadn't seen before too.
-
I have a few MM dollars and other (non-circulating) issues that I've found in circulation - if anyone is interested in any, let me know what you are after and I'll check through what I have.

Very nice coin and sounds like you got a good deal. I do not have very many of the dollar coins yet, still working on my large penny set and yesterday I got 30 of the 1/2 penny coins from a friend in Australia, now I will have to finish that set also.

I'm very close to completing (well, catching up to date) my 20 and 50 Cent Piece collections. The next thing I think I will work on is the dollars.
:) :) :) :)

G'day,
You'll be sorry the day you start Gary ;)
At last count I think there is about 140.
regards,

Muckeye,
I wasn't aware of that.
I need to get my catalog out and perhaps re-think my plans. Plenty of other denominations to work on!!
:) :) :) :)

Hey Muckeye is that due to the mint marks in OZ as I have a collector sending me 4 to 6 every year? I have quite a collection going but still find the Mob of Roos my favorite. Actually in the last few years I have managed to come up with some of the special or hard to get mint marks such as the TV and another which has slipped my mind! But they sure fought over them on Ebay for quite some time! Mind will remain dormant and in hiding here in southeastern Indiana where they are safe from the Wizard of Oz (whoever that may be?)

Hey, come on Coin Crusader, it doesn't have to be that bad - My last count to include $1 coins to the end of 2007 is 108. (That includes the 6 coloured Ocean series coins).
It doesn't include varieties but does include one of each MM $1 except for the mobile press coins from 2002.
-
108 would seem to be the correct number up to the end of 2007. Check http://knightsofthecointable.com/membersforum/index.php?topic=201.0 for pictures of my own set. I have a MYO 2007 coin in there which is being removed to go into a MYO album. Cheers.

You guys are right. Maybe it wouldn't be that huge of a task after all.
:) :) :) :)
-
Coin Crusader, Will you be starting from scratch, or do you already have some to get started with?
-
G'day Gary,
Sorry to frighten you. :(
Maybe I exaggerated a bit, sorry about that. But I had also counted the 18-22,(depending on how you do your counting), silver proofs in my total.
However when you see a full collection of them lined up in an album, it's a magnificent sight. ;) ;)

Another lost post: I replied that the 2001 coin, shown by ElleKitty, was the $1 issued by the RAM for the centenary of the Australian Army. They alos released two other $1 coins, for the Navy's 90th and Air Force's 80th year
