Title: Heading towards self sufficiency
Post by: NoHope587 on April 14, 2011, 02:11:51 PM
Today work started on my solar Project.
It has taken 3 months to clear all the relavent permits and get permission from the HOA to do this.
We are the first people in the whole City to install Solar Panels.
Admittedly Stafford is a small City but I'm surprised all the same.

THE AREA  THAT I LIVE IN AVERAGES 60% + CLOUDY DAYS---SO SOLAR PANELS WOULD NOT DO ME MUCH GOOD---ITS LIKE BUYING A CONVERTIBLE CAR IN MICHIGAN---ITS DONE BUT ONLY BY WISHFUL THINKERS----AND YOU DON'T COLLECT MUCH ON A COLD WINTERS DAY WHEN THERE IS A FOOT OF SNOW ON YOUR PANEL.....

Many people in Aus are converting to solar energy.
The government provides a rebate to assist.
We also get paid for feeding electricity back into the grid.
