Picked this up today at a garage sale. Thought it was pretty neat. Print signed by Australian artist David Stacey entitled "Reef Meets Rainforest", 31" X 36" and originally sold for $50 AUS, I got this one for $5. ;D

Same print from different angle ;D

I have never heard of him, but I know a young Lass named Stacey who does some nice art work.
Here is an example....
Any comments and feedback would be appreciated please.

Wow Steve! That's great art work. Does she have anymore examples to show us, or maybe a website or something? ;D

You know, the first thing I thought of when I saw that print was the older banknotes of Sri Lanka (Ceylon). And what beautiful works of art they are: 2 Rupees, 1979, P83 ;D

5 Rupees, 1979, P84 ;D

Golly, them sure is nice. Prettier than a speckled pup ;D

Oh, yeah. Prettier than a speckled hen going uphill in a red wagon! ???

And what does the U S print? The S O S (the same ol' stuff!...or whatever.)
-
The reverse of the 2 Rupees is a piece of art, i love it.
Thanks for sharing :)

LOOKING BACK OVER THOSE NOTES I HAVE TO AGREE THAT THE U.S. SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF ITS NUMISMATIC EFFORTS---OUR PAPER MOMEY PRINTED BEFORE 1914 WAS SO CREATIVE AND FULL OF ARTWORK----SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF---BUT NOT ANYMORE--THAT IS WHY I LOVE THE OLD LARGE U.S. NOTES CALLED "HORSE BLANKETS"----THEY REPRESENT A TIME WHEN WE TOOK PRIDE IN OUR WORK....THANKS AGAIN JOHN FOR SHOWING THE BEAUTY IN MONEY.........
