It was a long time since I got out my coins and looked at them. After just five minutes I started to feel relieved, just the same feeling I have when I draw or go fishing. The sense of peace and tranquility that i had just reminded me that doing something I love every now and then is very important for my psychological state. And of coarse sharing these feelings and thoughts with my friends is another blessing that I cherish. :)

I have heard that people who collect stamps live longer, because it helps them to de-stress. I wonder if it is the same for coin collectors.
-
I believe it would be the same. Having an active mind is very essential for longevity.

I agree with Sir Goose! Not only do I collect coins & stamps, but I love to read about history and also do word search puzzles to keep my brain cells active! Gardening also is a great stress reliever too! I grow flowers & vegetables in my small garden. :)
