Title: Colour or details ?
Post by: EgCollector on March 30, 2010, 10:06:02 PM
Hi all,

I have some lincoln cents of the same dates.

My question is which to place in my Dansco album ? One of them is yellow in colour and the other is brown, but the problem is that the brown one show a little more details than the yellow one.

what should I take more in consideration, the colour or the details?

Thanks

I think most collectors would go with the most detail. When you get into color you get into personal chose I think. Some want a coin that looks like it just came from the mint while others, myself included prefer a coin that has colored naturally.

I AGREE.....GO FOR THE BEST DETAILS IF YOU ARE PUTTING THEM IN A COLLECTION---------SOME COINS PICK UP BEAUTIFUL TONING AND YOU MIGHT WANT TO SHOW THEM OFF INSTEAD OF BURYING THEM IN A BOOK.........OR YOU COULD BUILD A SET OF TONED COINS ONLY.........NOW THAT WOULD BE A CHALLENGE........
