Title: LAST FAREWELL FROM THE CASTLE
Post by: Templar on March 24, 2010, 09:31:59 PM
I WOULD LIKE TO TRY AND PAY ONE LAST FAREWELL TO GARY BURKE (COIN CRUSADER)  BY GOING ON LINE AT 7A.M./EST  ON MARCH 31st------I BELIEVE THAT WOULD BE ABOUT 7P.M. AUSTRALIAN TIME--GIVE OR TAKE AN HOUR---MAYBE JUST SIGN INTO ONE CHAT ROOM FOR A FEW MINUTES--WE TRIED THIS BEFORE TO SET A RECORD----------LET'S BREAK THE RECORD IN GARY'S HONOR--------IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE CHAT ROOM--THIS GIVES YOU TIME TO LEARN--EVEN IF YOU GO ON LINE THAT WOULD COUNT-----IS IT DOABLE ??? ??? ??? ???

WHAT'S DONE IS DONE-THE FEW OF US HAD A VERY ENJOYABLE DISCUSSION AND WE ARE SORRY THAT OTHERS COULD NOT HAVE JOINED US--BUT KNOWING THE MOOD OF THE CASTLE I FEEL THE SPIRITS OF MANY OF YOU WERE THERE AND THATS WHAT COUNTS.......
   SALUTE GARY......GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN.

Well I wa talking to Muckeye in the Chat room at one stage (Thursday 31st 8:30PM Brisbane time) but no-one else was there.  Thought we may have been a day early since it was only 30th IN US.

Back the next night (I was now at Muckeye's House) around 9PM but again noe-one was in CHAT room.

Sorry we missed it, but we tried.

It is really tough to pick a time when everyone can make the effort to be here. The important thing is not whether or not a record was officially set but the mere fact Knights and Knightesses all over the world were thinking about our friend and fellow Knight Sir Gary Burke. In our hearts the record was set!
Gary was many different things to a lot of different people. We knew him as a Knight, our scribe, our historian and friend. We also were very aware he was a good husband, a father, a grandfather with a ton of love for those grandchildren, a huge sports fan, and a provider. He was also a volunteer in many ways and he gave freely and often to folks he would never meet.He cared and he shared and with that he touched us from a distance and together we dreamed of a place where we could all come to escape the realities of the real world. We now share that dream in our castle and our home. The house that Gary built.
