Title: Bushfire
Post by: Triggersmob on January 11, 2010, 10:11:34 PM
We have a bushfire burning at the moment, about 500 metres from home.
Here are some pics I just took. So far no injuries or property damage.

The fire as seen from our upstairs verandah.

Thank heavens for water bombers.
There is a small lake between us and the fire.

Least you have tile roofs, fairly impervious to flames.  Canna say that for most of the roofs in the USA.

PIctures? Don't forget to grab the COIN COLLECTION as most insurance companies won't cover such collections and you may need the money if indeed you need the insurance company. Your coin collection won't screw you!!! ;D

All seems well this morning.
I can't see any smoke, but haven't heard if there are any injuries or property loss.

A brush fire..... not too good. Now if snow can burn, I'm in a big heap of trouble if it starts on fire.

No problem, it's in the mail. Receiver to pay. LOL

I came home tonight and there is another fire, just across the road from yesterdays.
They think it might be arson. Youngs kids were seen in the area on motorbikes.

Little pokes be made to work at something useful, like cutting fire breaks, since they have so much idol time.  If their parents were held liable for the damages - you could better believe fires would be a rarity.

Seems like you have the same problem with dryness there in Oz that they have in California USA.
