Title: Good Price?
Post by: CoinCrusader42 on December 08, 2009, 11:08:31 PM
I finally found another coin dealer in western Colorado, and have purchased a few silver dollars from him -- including four 1921's.

The latest I bought was last Friday -- a 1921-S for $21.  Using the old grading standard, I would say it is in XF condition, maybe even AU.

Would $21 seem like a good price, especially with the value of silver going up?

My 2008 Redbook puts that coin at $20 (XF) or $22(AU).
If you went on silver content alone, it's worth about $14.

Thanks Steve.

I have my 2010 Redbook loaned out, so didn't have the information close at hand.
