Had a great day today at the Michigan State Numismatic Society Fall Show. Probably the best State show I have seen in YEARS. There was something for everyone that's for certain. I bought so much stuff today that it will probably take me a week to post it all here. I hope you folks don't mind, but I like to share my finds with you whenever I can, and I try not to brag about it. I have today added 9 more Roman Emperors to my collection which are pictured below and following. 4 of the coins I bought came out very dark on the scan so I will not post those. They are coins of Claudius II Gothicus (AD 268-270), Constantius I (AD 293-306), Constantine II (AD 317-337), and Constantius II (AD 337-361). Below is a coin of Gordian III, looks to be silver, or maybe a silver wash, I'm not sure. I paid $18 for it. Can someone help me identify the coin type? Even the dealer I bought it from didn't know. Thanks for your help. ;D

Aurelian (AD 270-275) ;D This coin cost me a whopping $7. !!!
-
Now here was one of my best finds today: Diocletian (AD 284-305) For some reason, coins of Diocletian seem plentiful wherever I looked and most always in excellent condition. I probably could have come home with half dozen or so if I had really wanted to! ;D This one was $17. ;D

John, I feel your Gordian III might be of this type: http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/sear5/s8606.html#RIC_0065
I love the Wildwinds website. It generally allows even me to identify these crazy Roman coins.

Anybody going the old coins way and paying real money should ask the advice of the coinforgery experts
since the chinese can manufacture forgeries for a few dollars a piece now

F.A.O. coins, 3 album pages. The dealer told me there was about $200 retail in coins here, but was tired of dragging them around to shows. (Uh-huh!) He said "how 'bout $60?" I said "SOLD!" We shall in time see if I got a bargain or not once I start looking at the coins individually. I know for a fact that there is SOME silver in there. But the main reason I bought them is because I noticed that there were a lot of coin types I DO NOT HAVE in my collection. We shall see........... ;D
