Title: Mastermintmark MORs

Twoshadows........ and others interested in our Mob of Roo dollars .......did you get one of the Master mintmark Mob of Roos? They are $9.95 (issue price). There is also a C counterstamp master mintmark MORs, but unfortunately, they are already in the vacinity of $35. They were only available on site from the RAM over a 4 day period a few months ago.

Great! Something else I don't have!  :'(  I actually do believe there is a conspiracy among the mints of the world to suck every dime out of us poor coin collectors but, the brighter side is the mere fact we can spend all our money on this hobby and still have money? ;D

Twoshadows, do you want me to send a Master mintmark one with the pensioner coin? (Will hold off posting your pensioner coin until I get a reply)

If you want one with he counterstamp as well, I can try finding one, might might take a little time to locate a dealer who still has any.

Hi John,

The coin is one of our regular Mob of Roo dollar coins with a special mintmark (Master mintmark) - a tiny kangaroo bounding through the letter 'C'. If you check on the link in the first post above and then click on the boxed coin, a close up picture of the mintmark emerges.

During a 4 day period back in July (I think), visitors at the mint were able to use the visitor's press to get an additional C MM on the coin - these were not available to the public except to those who attended the mint in person. Apparently a few dealers were able to secure a small number of these coins, but they immediately put the price up to $30 - $35. (I think they were originally $12 to get via the visitor's press).

I did add one (Master mintmark, but without the extra mintmark) to your coin pack.

I am not really interested in the counterstamp but really need the new master mintmark to add to my collection. Whatever you send over will be another blessing as buying anything from a dealer tends to get a little costly up here! I just hope we all can return the favor soon!!!
