Title: Bad name for a child?

A friend of mine and his wife whose last name just happens to be Hardy,just had a baby and they named it Laura Lynn.....Now is it just me or do you guys think this kids going to have a hard time going through life with this moniker????

Im not going to be able to look at this kid and not laugh...lol

Hopefully she will be a size 12 and not a 6 or 18  ;D

That must be some regional thing, there are names in different parts of the country that are euphemisms for body parts, stuff that happens etc.  But I have not heard that one.

This is my third time reading this thread. I had to actually say the name Laura Lynn Hardy outloud several times before I got it, lol. Thats terrible. A freind of mines dad'd freinds were trying to get him to name his son Billy Bob, and he did end up naming him William Robert. He goes by Will.

Oh, now I get it.  Not as bad as Richard Johnson, a double euphemism for a certain part of the male anatomy in the Midwest.

Dick Johnson? I think that euphemism works just about anywhere in the U.S.  ;D

Richard Weed would be a bad one.

In Catch-22 one of the characters last name was Major. So his father gave the first and middle name of Major. So when he was in the Army he was Captain Major Major Major. Until he got promoted to Major. The he was Major Major Major Major.

Navy Chiefs used to ponder whether or not there was anyone named Seaman Sweepers or Seaman Able.
