First hunt in over a month it was 94° outside but that did not stop me. went to small pocket park about half a mile from the house.
Nice silver ring with John cut into it.

Now that ring is a nice find. What settings did you have on your detector to pick up that pretty redish rock? I should be detecting for those rocks instead of the lousy clad coinage.

The detector was set to all metal and yes the rock did show signal. I spent a good few minutes digging around in the hole look for the metal until I thought to check the rock. It registered at the bottom end of the iron spectrum.
