Probably nobody cares, but I thought I would share with Castle members the fact I have retired as Sports Editor of the Delta County Independent.
I was Sports Editor for 40 years and several months, and was told that was probably a Colorado newspaper record.
I retired from 35 years as a teacher and coach in 2000.
Now, for the first time in 50 plus years I have no responsibilities outside of the family -- with the exception of a few hours volunteer work each week at the local hospital.
Feels very good to be totally retired.
:D :D :D :D

It must feel great to have more time for yourself, the family and the coins. LOL

Congrarulations enjoy it. It can be lots of fun once you learn how. I was disabled Dec 30 1999 and went out of my mind crazy for about 3 years. But now I really enjoy myself and get up every morning looking for something to laugh about. And more times than not it's me. ;D ;D

So this means any time any of us stop by you WILL be HOME? Congratulations to one of the best forum friends a man could ever ask for. Been together quite a while now haven't we. There are a few of us here who can actually talk about the good ole days!!! ;D

Amen to that Twoshadows.
And, by the way, I hope each spring and summer somebody from the forum will drop by and say hello.
Hasn't happened yet (except for family that are members), but you never know. Maybe this summer?!
