Very Nice
-
That's cool! :)
-
I showed it around a local coin show this morning and everyone was asking me if it was for sale.
-
I usualy don't like it when people mess with the Jeffersons but I've got to say this one is really nice. You should see if Daniel Carr could make us some more. 8)
-
He's made one hundred of these already, and the first die is beginning to fail. Nickel is a very hard metal.

BEAUTIFUL TOKEN--CHECK E-BAY TO SEE MANY OTHER TYPES--THESE LED TO WOODEN NICKELS--CIVIL WAR TOKENS AND HOBO TOKENS/NICKELS--FASINATING ART WORK ON SOME OF THESE TOKENS--YOUR SERVANT--THE TEMPLAR!

I sending for two of them. 8) I think I have to start checking DC site more often. Especially now since I'm not even going to play paypal games with ebay.
-
That Daniel is one creative guy....... ;D

Check out the die crack. It's too ironic isn't it? Thom Jefferson surely would "crack up" if he was alive today to see how things turned out. I love die cracks! I ordered two of them. If Daniel is striking these to order maybe I got the first cud from that die?

Yes, the early ones started with the vertical die crack, then later ones developed the cud. Read about here it in his catalogue page for Hard Times Tokens:

Can you tell what your underlying nickel designs are?
-
Thanks Edix. No I don't see any underlying designs on mine.
