Title: Results of todays hunt.
Post by: NoHope587 on November 26, 2008, 08:55:03 AM
Hit a few schools this morning. 3 of the 5 we tried were locked even though they were part of the Spark system which means they are supposed to allow public access to the play areas during the day. anyway not a bad haul from just two play areas.
Highlight was a 1.7g gold ring only 10K but still nice.

I hope you got an outlet near you to get rid of some of those goodies or are you becoming a full time ring collector? ;D If you keep this up I am going to have to go get a darn metal detector!!! Have you told us what brand of detector you are using? Garret or White perhaps?

I use a Garrett Ace 250 its a so called entry level machine but it does a great Job I would have to go several grades higher and into the big bucks to find a machine that would out perform it enough to warrant the extra investment. A word of warning though despite the adverts the machine is not switch on and go. To get the best out of it you have to spend some time getting to know it and adjusting it for the ground conditions you are using it on. It gets me out of the house three or four times a week when I am at home and it gives me exercise. Its also one of the few hobbies you can turn a profit on with a little research.
