Title: Question about Santa Dollars
Post by: longnine009 on November 20, 2008, 04:55:46 AM
I made a donation today at Publics for some Christmas charity although I don't know why. Aren't the work houses in good order? Anyway she gave me a Santa Dollar and it appears to be a real dollar just with Santa on it instead George or Hank. Did these come from the BEP?

They are created by pasting a picture of Santa over the picture of George.  I once made one with the Socialist Santa, Karl Marx on it, I had a big E. German postage stamp that I cut him out of, and pasted him over Santie.

It may be noting now but just wait until the new EL Cid takes over the treasury and President Harry Houdini pulls a new economy out of his hat and we're all rich again and living happily ever after.  That Santa Dollar will probably be worth at least 3 or 4 cents.   ;D
