Ooooooh yes. This one has been on my want list for ages now!  I'm very glad I finally found it.  There's one more that's nagging at me, it's a North Korean proof silver coin.  It's this one: (http://dreamgarden.fraildream.net/4Matty/NorthKoreaLion.JPG)  I don't have it yet, but someday I'll find it and snatch it up for the Kitty Collection!

Super coin there, Kitty. But I could'nt find it in the SCWC under North Korea. Maybe I missed it. Are you sure it's North Korea? 8)

The coin is North Korean. 2007 1oz silver. Saw it on ebay from a seller in China. Did you know that North Korea has lots of coins with cats on them? They put all kinds of critters on their coins! 8) 8) 8)

I saw it on ebay too, going for over $40.00.  I don't trust any chinese sellers that much, even if I can't find anything about this particular auction that makes me worry.

I have one other NK coin with a cat on it, it's an aluminum one.  I have the whole set that it came out with.  They're really cute coins, and it's kind of strange that a country like North Korea would be putting some of these out.

Well, North Korea is kind of a strange country to begin with, but looking thru the latest SCWC catalog, they must really like cats over there! :) :) :)

I too was thinking it was odd that a country like North Korea would be putting cute animals on their coins. That Kim Jong Il (sp?) is a pretty strange guy though ;D

Ordinarily, I'd say liking kitties is just a sign of Good Character! However in the case of North Korea, they're probably trying to symbolize strength or fearsomeness. Or something.

I could have an absolute ball answering this thread but.....at times I must remain serious and civil! All those great answers I have about cats and can't use them! ;D
