Date: 08-08-2008
Destination: Australia
Note: Triggersmob, Several coins on the way. Included is a 2008 Lincoln Cent, but it's far from pretty. So, I'll be watching for a better one to replace it.
The other coins I tossed in are some you can give away, trade, or whatever.
Still watching for the 2008 nickel and dime.
:) :) :) :)

Thanks, Gary.

Date: 09-23-2008
Destination: Egypt
Note: eg_collector, I am really concerned. The turtle is on its way, but has never been sent to Egypt. All that heat and sand! Thank Goodness for the Nile. After he comes ashore from the river and makes his delivery, he will probably sight see the pyramids before heading home.
;D ;D ;D ;D

From the ninth to the twenty-ninth. Thanks Gary ,they arrived today.
Very much appreciated and many thanks to the Burke Turtle Service.
You must understand the Queensland beaches are hard to negotiate due to the many reefs.
If there is a next time I would recomend the Golden Kelpie Service, I will definately use it going west to east.
regards,

Hope he passes by, just to give him a warm "Welcome To Egypt". :)

My Alaskan's arrived yesterday, with a Pres dollar as well, thanks to Burke's Turtle Service. Same as Muckeye, 9 days to get here. That Turtle is a real go-er! ;D ;D
Many thanks, Gary!!
-
Hey Gary...the turtle called by my place today and left state quarters and presidential dollars.
Many thanks.
Turtles know there way here now.
-
Gary, I received mine today, also.
Thanks for helping to keep me up to date on my sets.
I really appreciate your help. :) :) :)
-
Gary, seeing as it's so reliable, we will have to keep Burks' Turtle
Service in operation much longer than expected. However to improve security I will
sub-contract The Golden Kelpie to ride shotgun for the next three months at no cost. Gizmo will act as CEO.

-
Hi Gary,
I have received the 2008 D Alaska coin today. Thank you very much for your generosity.
Thanks to you i now have only six coins left to complete the set.
Thanks again :)
Kind Regards

I'm beginning to think that I should have used the Burke Turtle Service to send those Lincolns to you, Amr.
It's been a few weeks now, I suspect they may have gone astray.

I have received a package last week from humpybong (from Australia) with no problems. It usually takes 3 to 4 weeks for a package to come from Australia to Egypt. I dont know exactly when did you sent it, but if it is within this range i wouldnt start to worry yet. :) :)
And even if it didnt make it safely to me, i will concider it received. The most important thing is the good intention Steve ;)
Anyway, i receive this package or not, i will send you mine :)
Thanks for the trade

I'm a bit concerned about some Jeffersons I had heading in that direction to.
I have received two packages from USA, one yesterday and that was Garys and the other two weeks ago and that was from a member of other forum with no problems.
It usually takes 10 to 14 days for a package from USA to come to Egypt, i dont want to make you worry Adam but it is neerly double that period since you sent yours.
Regarding my package i sent it on the 28th of September so you should be receiving it within the coming days.
I have lost two packages when i started trading with international friends and since then (2 years) i send all my packages with registered mail that have a tracking number and insured.
It costs me more but it is more safe and reliable for me, at least i stopped worrying if my packages will reach their destinations safely or not.
Even if not (GOD forbid), i will collect the insurance from the Egyptian Mailing System.
Hope the coins make it safely to you, and that you enjoy them :)
Thanks for the trade

I tried to do my package like that, but the postal worker behind the counter told me that I couldn't get a tracking number on a package to Egypt. :-\

I dont know which postal service you used. The package i received from US 2 weeks ago had a tracking number and was sent through priority mail international.
But i have recieved more than 50 packages from US with no tracking number, some by registered mail and even some by regular mail :)

The Jeffersons arrived to Egypt today after a long journey, and they intend to stay and wait for the Lincolns coming from Australia :) :) :)
-
Better late than never :) Although I was a little worried, I had a feeling they had just been delayed for some reason and would arrive eventually.
-
We had a long vacation here in Egypt, from 1 to 6 of October because of the feast and the celebration of the 6th of October day. If the package was delayed at the customs or for any other reason till this date it all would make sense :)
Thanks again Adam and hope that you receive your package soon :)
-
My apologies to buda for being so late in sending the coins he won in my contest.
A big, strong sea turtle is on its way, with the package secured to its back, and a Golden Kelpie riding shotgun.
Again, sorry for the delay.
:) :) :) :)
-
good things always to come to you when you wait
-
Don't mess with that Golden Kelpie.
He can split a playing card at 10 yards using No. 9 shot..
regards,
-
*has this extremely weird image of a golden kelpie dog riding the large seaturtle, surfer style across the pacific...*
-
Beats 'air mail' and keeps the powder dry. :D :D

Hey buda,
Has that turtle shown up yet with your coins?
:) :) :) :)
-
not yet
will let you no
-
Hi all. The Burke Turtle Service is on it's way again.
An unsolicited packet of coins etc. is on its way to America. Left on Friday
and has a dog riding shotgun. Should be just passing Fiji.
As there is a prize involve in this I will print the rest in the contest section.

If he will just swim into the Gulf of Mexico, head north, follow the correct rivers towards Indiana I will meet him in Cincinnati, Ohio. Does the dog bite? ;D

If he takes the river on the left instead of the one on the right, he might make his way to my house ;D
-
For him to get into the Gulf, he'd have to go through the Panama Canal. It'd be so much easier for him to hit Baja, and come north.
-
Thanks for all your instructions but the Kelpie knows just where to go :D :D

Having been fed and rested, two turtles are now on their way to the Wonderful World of Oz.
One is on its way to justabeginner and the other headed for Yass.
There will be many return trips to Yass, as I try and re-pay him for his recent generous mailing of Scout Dollars.
By the way, there has been a Kelpie assigned to each turtle.
:) :) :) :)
-
Isn't it wonderful that Kelpies are so easy to clone.
Just another one of their favorable charistics.
regards. ;)

Hey Gary... Let me know what you need from Australia... If its not Scouts, I still have plenty to offer.. :) Just let me know.. :)
