Well that must be what makes CNN number one. The price of gas goes up,  people drive less, deaths on the highway go down. Who would have thought that would happen? We should have $5 a gallon tax now. After all  it's not just saving adult lives but also some "chee-drins  in the global village"  too.  ;D

"Chee-drins"? You're right on that! There is not a politician nor a money grubbing governmental entity that doesn't use the words: "It's for the children" in some sort of way. And what's worse, the sheeple believe it!
