Title: WAVY BASE 1966 20 CENT
Post by: GregK on July 10, 2008, 09:10:37 PM
:) I saw my first in change today.  I got into work around 7.55 and the Bloke (Guy) who works in the opposite office, threw me a 1966 20 cent, a coin in VG to a almost fine condition.  He said,"Its not offen that I see a 66 20 now".  I looked at at, doubled looked and got my mag glass to make sure and said, "True Mate and its very rare to see a wavy base".  I got various mentions of price, from $25 to $150, I would say that it is around $45.  I gave him  2X2 to put it in.

I have found two. Sold the worst condition one, and it had been through bad times, for $200 on ebay. Started it at 99cents. It paid for a camp for one of the kids.  ;D

Wow...nice find!  I often see that year in bargain bins,  and check every one hoping to find one someday.
