Got a metal detector for Father's Day from my kids, today I found one 1977 cent, one 1965 quarter, and a 1977 Quarter. But the best find came next to a tree in my backyard, a 1917 Lincoln. ;D
The 1977 was one I had to dig a while for, it was a pain to find, the 1917 wasn't much better but the quarters were easy.

I could get hooked on this thing, with first finds like that. My son has his own machine and found a silver ladle near the tree where I found the Wheat cent.

It appears I NEED to borrow your kids for father's day next year! I am sure we could work out some sort of deal! ;D

And tonight my 13 yr old daughter pestered me to take the machine out again, same old elm tree in the backyard:
