Title: Young collector in Slovakia needing some help.
Post by: TwoShadows on June 11, 2008, 09:31:52 AM
I received an email from a 10 year old "new" collector in Slovakia requesting help getting statehood quarters. While I have no problem helping this young man out I just wondered if anyone else might have gotten an email from this new collector named Erik? I did ask him where he got my name and email address to which he replied that he found it on a International Good Trader list somewhere on the internet. I know I used to be on that list but don't even remember where to find it now. I intend to send this young man some goodies soon but thought I would check in to see if any of you GREAT traders have heard from him?

I found this site this morning and it worked fine but now the server is taking too long to respond and it won't show up. Anywho, perhaps this is the site: http://personales.ya.com/telemaco007/indice.htm

Hopefully it works for you.

Don't you think it is weird a 10 year old Slovakian would know English ?
My 12 year old nephew could not send an email like that unless his father wrote it

Yes
I received a request for help this winter from a nice Russian girl who has to provide for her mother and they were starving and freezing to death allthough it is beyond me you can die twice unless you are James Bond
Anyways they asked me to send them a belgian woodburner  :D that only costs like 1500 $
I changed my spamfilter after their presumed death

It is good to see I am NOT the only skeptic in the world! Will have to give this some more thought before sending quarters over. Never gave the English much thought as so many Europeans know our language better than we do. I hate to think there are those who would con a guy for a few lousy quarters! In my mind it would be much easier just to be honest about it, whether they actually want the statehood quarters or just the money.
