A famous Lawyer was driving through a backwards town when he failed to stop properly at a stop sign.
The local cop pulled him over, mentioned his mistake, as he had slowed down and not stoped, and asked to see the Lawyer's Licence.
The Lawyer, being sure that he was better educated than a yokel cop, asked if
the Cop could explain the difference between slowing down and stopping.
The cop said that he could explain it and invited the Laywer to step out of his car.
As he did so, the Cop produced his baton and started to bash the Lawyer. Around 20 seconds later, the Cop said, "would you like me to stop or slow down".

No doubt about those small town 'country' cops, they explain it so much better than the city cops. :D

LOL. My dad told me that one a few years ago, but it wasn't a lawyer, I think it was just some guy. Anyway, your version is much better ;D
