Of the year, that is.
We ought to be thinking about setting another record for having the most online. It would be fun to have our new members attend to see just how fun real Chatroom mayhem can be.
I'm sure OldDan will not mind if we were to try to up the count from his birthday party attendance record.
If anyone has any ideas or time frames to shoot for, let this be the start of an official game plan to do so.
Any and all respond...

I thought Sir GrandMaster "D"s birthday party was a lot of fun.
Since it's the end of the first quarter (almost) and the black swans are still in a holding pattern maybe we could invite Big Ben in for chat? I'm sure we could learn something from him about hanging wall paper. ;D
-
I'm for it.
Whenever, and whatever time.
:) :) :) :)
-
I'll get out of bed at 3.00 AM for a worthy cause!
regards.
-
Let's go for it!
-
I am in as well.
Just advise the details.
-
The time/day etc we ran the last one seemed to have worked quite well except for those in India, Egypt etc. I've got some extra days off next week - would be happy to try working out a few different times that might be reasonable for as many as possible to attend and then we could put it to the vote.
At least this time we can organise it openly, and not try hiding it from a certain person! :D
-
I'm all ready to do it. Who will pick up the reins and make it happen?
:) :) :) :)
-
I'm for it. Hopefully, I can make it this time.
-
You old smoothie Dan, you never give up.
I must admit, your hard to compete against.
regards,
-
Anna, how are you doing on those times and dates for the next meeting of the Knights?
Sorry - didn't have the days off that I expected :(
I need someone to check that these time zones are correct ........ please! ....... and that I haven't missed any countries.
Australia: NSW, Vic, Brisbane, ACT + 10 hours
Australia: South Australia + 9.5 hours
Australia: Western Australia + 8 hours
China: + 8 hours
India: + 5.5 hours
Turkey: + 3 hours
Estonia: + 3 hours
Netherlands: + 2 hours
Belgium: + 2 hours

Italy: + 2 hours
Portugal + 1
Canada: - 4 hours
US Eastern Time: - 4 hours
US Central Time: - 5 hours
US Mountain Time: - 6 hours
US Pacific Time: - 7 hours
An example of timing (if the above is correct), would be as follows: Perhaps someone would like to check the times - and play around with it!
US Pacific Time 9pm Saturday
US Mountain Time 10pm Saturday
US Central Time 11pm Saturday
US Eastern Time 12mn Saturday
Canada 12mn Saturday (hopefully not too many fit this time zone)

Netherlands, Belgium, Egypt, Italy 6am Sunday (I know that's a bit early for a Sunday morning)
Turkey, Estonia 7am Sunday
India 9.30am Sunday
Western Australia, China 12md Sunday
South Australia 1.30pm Sunday
NSW, QLD, Vic, ACT 2pm Sunday

Old Dan, TKO just sent me a copy of the time zones you previously sent him. Some of them differ to the above - I'll have to do a double check - not sure if some of the differences relate to daylight saving or if I botched up. I know you used a different base time, but still some differences. Will recheck as soon as I get a chance.
-
I've been really busy and haven't had a chance to post in this thread. But I'm all for trying my best to make it to another record setting. And as long as it on the weeknd I have a pretty good chance of making it.
-
Assuming I'm home, you can count on me.
:) :) :) :)
-
How does Saturday/Sunday the 26th/27th April sound?
-
It is a long weekend here in OZ.....Anzac Day weekend.
..........count me in.
-
How does Saturday/Sunday the 26th/27th April sound?
Which day would it be in the U.S. the 26th or 27th? For me personally the 27th might not be good, due to my baby nephew's first birthday party. Of course, if its good for everyone else, don't let that discourage anyone.
-
Basically it would be Saturday for US and Canada, and Sunday everywhere else.
-
I would not be able to participate on a Sunday, because I have to work.
-
Basically it would be Saturday for US and Canada, and Sunday everywhere else.
Yeah. I can probably do that.
-
What would suit best?
Friday Evening for US and Canada, and Saturday for everyone else,
or
Saturday evening for US and Canada and Sunday for everyone else
Will need everyone to check his/her own time zones to ensure adjustments have been made for anyone who is on daylight saving time.
Time zones based on UTC/GMT
-
I am easy...(not cheap but easy)....any day will do.
-
Saturday for US customers is best for me. If it's a Friday night, I'll quite likely be at work.
-
Anytime, I'm malleable.
-
I'll go along with whatever the majority agree on.
-
Just so we can keep a track of this:

On that Saturday I will be at the Air Force Academy to receive a media award from the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Will be back home on Sunday by early afternoon.
Hope I can participate.
:) :) :) :)
-
Any day but Anzac Day.
I've got a date with a Cenotaph.
regards,
-
Muckeye, will that be on the Friday?
-
Hey OldDan, excellent site. Thanks!!!!!!!!!
-
Muckeye, will that be on the Friday?
Yes, Friday, 25th. April.
My sacred day.
I have to behave this year. For some silly reason I agreed to be President of the Club for twelve months.
Have to watch my public image :o
regards,
-
Yep, OldDan, that was the site I used.
-
I should be right. but no promises

-
10pm Saturday works well for me. In fact most of Saturday is fine.
-
Any day and time will suit me. I'll probably be at work, but I do have internet access. ;D
-
Either scenario suits me.
regards,

Hurrah! That weekend starts Fiesta, and I had totally forgotten all about it.
I'm off this Friday, April 25th! I can do any time after about noon on Friday, any time on Saturday (although for grocery shopping purposes, t'would be better either early or late, not midday.) I do plan on sleeping in. ;)
-
HI to everyone,
This planned weekend is quit busy for me- I will go to workshop, but I will take my laptop with me and I hope to stay online.
Marek
-
O.K. lets see if I have this right;
to match up with Steve, I would need to log on for mountain time at 8 AM - Saturday, April 26th. Am I reading this right?
OldDan, IF I got the times right, then you have it right ....... but something just doesn't look quite right.
Old Dan, I'd really like to hand this back to you to get this organized - deciding definite times/dates etc. I'm feeling quite brain muddled at the moment - having to work almost double hours this fortnight - but will end up with a week off at the end of the roster.
-
Well, we don't seem to have had too much of a response as yet!
Let's try for Saturday 26th - with times corresponding with time clock as follows: Based on Saturday 2pm UTC/GMT
US Pacific Time 7am Saturday
US Mountain Time 8am Saturday
US Central Time 9am Saturday
US Eastern Time 10am Saturday
Canada 10am Saturday
Portugal 3pm Saturday
Netherlands, Belgium, Egypt, Italy 4pm Saturday
Turkey, Estonia 5pm Saturday
India 7.30pm Saturday
Western Australia, China 10pm Saturday
South Australia 11.30pm Saturday
NSW, QLD, Vic, ACT 12mn Saturday
Please check to make sure your times zones are correct from the following website:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?day=27&month=4&year=2008&hour=0&min=0&sec=0&p1=240&sort=1
(note that NSW, QLD, VIC ACT come up as 12mn Sunday, where it should be 12mn on Saturday night)
TKO - COULD YOU PLEASE PUT UP A BANNER RE THIS?
thanks!
-
I'll be 300 miles away, but will try and get on-line for the event.
:D :D :D :D
-
*pencils this in, hopes for a big reminder...* Saturday morning, 9AM. April 26th.
-
Maybe this can just be a practise run!
-
Saturday midnight? Yep, I should be online then.
Sorry for ignoring this thread up until now. I assumed a thread in general discussions titled "the end of the first quarter" was about football... :-[ ::)

Sap, They've certainly been kicking this one about. It'll be a goal (or touchdown ) and the crowd will roar!
-
IE7 has been so extensively modified by me it will not go into chat
I will try and make it on my backup firefox but will have to undo several blocks and I forgot how many I put in place ??? but most
can be temporarily lifted .
4pm Sat Ok
-
Not sure if I can make Saturday midnight.....I need my beauty sleep.......as much as I can get
:o
-
I really think we need more time to get this organised ...... Sorry one and all, but with me feeling a bit bedraggled post flu and working extra shifts this past fortnight (thought I was going to have extra time off instead) and with not many replies or suggestions re 'best times', I think it has got into a bit of a muddle and heading for a major flop! Only other thing I can think of that might work other than the 2 time slots suggested is bringing the 2nd time slot suggestion forward by an hour .... but is 6am too early for those on US Pacific time zone?
-
Gene, Don't forget about those UNC Wyoming stathood quarters you sent me for prize use. :o
-
I'll be at the doctor's office, but there are usually a number of wireless connections available. I'll bring my PDA and see if I can find an unsecured one. :)
-
Mmm - that looks good OldDan!
-
???BREAKFAST.......it is 10:30PM here in Brisbane......give me a big juicy steak to bite into.... ;D
-
Just as long as you've got the coffee pot going... ugh. Morning. ;D
-
My apologies for missing the gathering this morning. I had an early morning technical difficulty that kept me completely away from my computer.
Again sorry!
TKO
-
So, how did the gathering go? I had something very important come up suddenly. I'm sorry I didn't make it :(
-
So, how did the gathering go?
Mmm - well, let's just call it a practise run! I think we only had 7 this time.
-
We had 9 online this time.....
OZ 6 US 2 EU 1
Thought we would have done better than this.
-
I think we may need to send out some reminders during the week before the next attempt to jog people's memory. ;) ::)
-
I think we may need to send out some reminders during the week before the next attempt to jog people's memory.
I was hoping TKO'S message on banner might have served as a reminder.
-
I still keep an appointment agenda so I noted it in my agenda
The log will show I was there at 16 00 hrs on the dot 8)
I can understand people being busy but only 10% of the knights reporting in is a low percentage ???
-
The Banner is wonderful and great, but I also think most members don't really see it. I come straight to the New Responses page and very rarely if ever see the main page with it's advertising.
The best reminder for me is an email or a private message directly to my account.
And, we had a total of ten Knights come to the gathering!
1. OldDan
2. Tobyle
3. Nevol
4. Humpybong
5. Sap
6. ElleKitty
7. Triggersmob
8. PaintYourWagon
9. Goose (came a bit late, but he did come! That counts.)
10. Brissyboy
... aaaand I'm missing the name of one Australian >< Can someone help jog my memory? I've slept since the meeting :(
(Edit) Thank you so much! How could I forget? ><

Thank you so much!
-
Sorry,
As previously explained, I was 300 miles away.
With me were three other KOTCT members. So, had we been on-line, we would have done a little better.
Hopefully, we'll try again soon.
:D :D :D :D

I agree that a PM or something would be better to remind me. I just had a very crazy week though, so I don't think I would have made this meeting anyway. I'm sure we'll have a more successfull meeting in the future though.
-
I was going to send some reminders, but was working 12 hour shifts all week and as there is a limit to the number of PMs that can be sent each hour, had some time restraints on that one. Multiple PMs were sent out last time round and still only got less than 20% response!

You did very well ;)
-
I agree, you organised it fine. Just wrong day, wrong time.
But look on the bright side......aussie's flew the flag.
-
Sorry I missed it.
My ISP was off line for 14 days and only came back on line two days ago.
Look forward to the next one.

I didn't even know about it, but I was in Florida, so my attention was elsewhere. Please keep me informed on the next attempt, as I WILL make it one of these times.
