I haven't any idea if anyone noticed that the Kitty has been very quiet as of late; she's been busy moving her litterbox into the new house. Hopefully by tomorrow the old, evil apartment will be abandoned completely. Then, hopefully I will be able to return to my daily perusals of this website. However, I missed a whoooooole weeks' worth of postings, because the internet didn't work at the new house until yesterday.
What'd I miss? ;D

Probably the BIGGEST issue is the closing down of the Guestbook! There were some attempts by hackers to gain entry. so the guestbook is gone. Our Castle is still safe, thanks to the 2 Terry's.

And you missed a fun competition by Paint Your Wagon!
And some very amusing lessons on vocabulary by OldDan!
:) :) :) :) :)

G'day Kitty,
It's not about what you missed, it's about who missed you.
Your absence was noticed. And since you did not seek prior approval you are to be given a detention.
We want 400 words about why you hate Aussie busy bodies who collect coins, before next Xmas. ;D ;D ;D
Welcome back, have you been away. ;)
regards,
-
I hope you mised ME???

Nevol, Snooba; thank you so much for the updates!
Muckeye; you're going to have to give me a failing grade on that one, because I can't think of any Australians that I hate for any reason at all. So there.
Twoshadows, I missed every last one of you! Promise.

G'day Tracy,
Don't forget to give us all an update on the new
'cat house' when you get settled in. :D :D
regards,

Update: Large furniture moved. Lots of cabinets and closets left to go. Not much is settled into the new house, except dirty laundry. ^^;; Most everything that we don't use on a daily basis is still stuffed into the Garage.
-
While it is all stuffed in the garage, leave the stuff you can part with out there and have a garage sale. Take the proceeds to the store and get something nice and new for the house or yourself. You won't miss it and you definitely won't regret it either.

I wish someone had told me to do that 7 years ago when I retired and moved house.
Good luck Miss kitty.

Take the proceeds to the store
To the COIN store, of course!

Good to see you back miss Kitty :). Moving house. I had 13 removals in 20 years with Defence not good, but it is a great way to remove the surplus, throw it or sell it. My Daughter just moved into my little duplux. Previous tenants had lost the garden shed key. I broke the lock and low and behold, the shed is full of the previous T's processions. Under law, I cannot remove it until I have given them ample notice. (one month in writing) I can deliver it to them at my expense. I can remove it a storage facility at my expense (if I need the room) and advise them where to pick it up, or I can wait a month and dispose of it.

Oh how I wish I could take the proceeds to the Coin Store, but not yet. I'm still juggling how to pay the new bills; timing and all between paychecks. :D
I hate moving! When I was in college, I moved regularly. However, I've lived in that tiny apartment for 8 years now... It's truly amazing the junk I've accumulated in that time. I've already thrown out a lot, and it may just be time for a garage sale in the near future. I don't think I'll be selling any coins, though. ;)

Eight years in an apartment, you deserve a medal.
(or a coin, I'll see what I can organise.)

It is funny when you move into a larger house, we moved here from an Apt nearly six years ago. When we moved up here from Texas we gave away, threw away, etc a tonne of stuff. We got everything we owned into one of the smallest U-Haul trailers and drove up. Now with a house, I don't think we could get everything into one of the larger moving vans. For instance now we have four china cabinets, why?
-
We managed to fit all the furniture into one of the 14' moving vans. The smaller stuff from closets, cabinets, shelves etc. is taking forever to pack and move in our smaller cars. So far we haven't bought a whole lot of stuff other than curtains, but we do need to do something about a decent set of living room furniture. So far, the only thing in my formal living room is dirty laundry. *Blushes* That's mostly because the laundry baskets are still full of moving stuffses.
Muckeye, that is far too generous and completely unnecessary! (However I won't argue too hard, since I don't have money to spend on coins for the next few months. I may go through withdrawals.)
