New UK 1 Pound Coin
Kena:
We will be getting a bi-metallic 1 pound coin in the future.

I hope they hold up better in circulation than the current ones do.

Triggersmob:
I like it. :)
I knew they had a problem with fakes,
but I didn't realise it was as high as 3%.
Erik:
Beautiful coin :)

Folks are saying this is the reason for the change.

ElleKitty:
Oooh, and I haven't even had a chance to put together the whole new set, with the crest design on the back.
I have oodles of pence, tuppence, fives and tens, but the larger the coin the harder it is to find in the bulk bins. :(
And honestly the sets are going for too much IMO.
I do like the bi-metallic coin, and I can't compare size; but except for the polygonal edge it looks quite like the 2 pound coin.
