This time I have 3 sets of NZ 10¢ up for auction.  Same deal as before, all proceeds to be donated to the Forum coffers to go towards reducing the cost of everyone's 2008 Medallions. Remember every little bit counts!

I have up for Auction the following 'sets' of NZ 10¢'s, all in circulated condition:

Set 1. (16) 2003, 2002, 2000, 1991, 1996, 1989, 1988, 1987, 1982, 1981, 1980, 1978, 1977, 1975, 1973, 1970, 1967

Set 2. (13) 2003, 2000, 1997, 1996, 1989, 1988, 1987, 1982, 1980, 1978, 1975, 1973, 1967

Set 3. (12) 2003, 2000, 1996, 1989, 1988, 1987, 1982, 1980, 1978, 1975, 1973, 1967

The auction will run for 2 weeks, finishing on Sunday 3rd Feb (Sat 2nd for US) at whatever time I log in that morning, usually pretty early, about 5.30 am Aust time.

Payment will be made to Twoshadows, and once receipt of payment has been confirmed by him, the coins will be sent to the winner of each set.

When this is finalised I'll offer up some 'sets' of NZ 20¢, with proceeds going to the Forum coffers as well.

Any questions, post them here & I'll answer them ASAP.

Good Luck!

"NB" If I get any NZ 10¢ coins in the next 2 wks that I don't need for my collection, the numbers in the sets could increase.

Gary, I made a suggestion along the lines of what I am now doing way back when the 'New' forum was still very new.  I am now simply putting my money where my mouth was then, so to speak.    ;) :D

These coins only cost me FV, and I figure that with NZ changing their lower denominatios to smaller coins, these older ones I have may become hard to get.  I have enough for my own needs and the ones I'm putting up for auction are spares. I might as well let other people have the opportunity to get them for a good price to build their collection & at the same contribute in my own small way to the 2008 medallions. The most it will cost me now is a little bit of postage, no big deal.  ;D

NZ has now discontinued production of 1¢, 2¢ & 5¢, who knows what will go next. Australia has already ceased production of its' circulation 1¢ (1990) & 2¢ (1991) pieces & it probably won't be too long before our 5¢ goes the same way.

It has only occurred to me today that Terry probably has to pay PayPal fees on the money we send him, so if anyone knows how much those fees are likely to be, please post here. I would prefer that all funds raised go to the Forum coffers, and am prepared to meet the cost of fees myself.   ::) ::)

Does Paypal take a percentage of the amount transferred or is it a set amount per transaction fee.

We now know the answer to the above question due to our experiment.

PayPal takes fees out then remits balance to receiver.
