1720 Farthing SOLD
September 29, 2008, 03:00:19 AM
If anyone is interested, I would like to sell this odd-one-out Farthing of George I dated 1720. I quite like it but it doesn't 'fit' my collection and if I can get a reasonable price I would not mind too much liquidating it to cover for my excessive acquiring habits!  ;D

Book value of this ranges from 25 pounds in a Fine grade to 125 pounds in Very Fine. Of course, that is Uk grading and I will leave that assessment to you.

Basic airmail of $4 is included in the cost and I am offering this at $55 on a first come, first served basis.

Darn youuuu!  Not really. *Sad sigh*  I've been wanting a George I coin for my Type Set of British Monarchs. ><  I just can't afford the $60 right now.

Edit:  Oh oh ohohoh!  The packet came today :D  6 Russia and India/Straights coins. :D  They're much nicer than the pictures showed. Thank you!

Do add this coin to my collection?

Hehe...you wouldn't believe the number of time people have said that. And weird, because I am sure I take good enough pictures of them... ???

I think I would believe it.  ^^  It doesn't matter how perfect the photograph, there is just something about a coin that glows in the hand that a camera just can't capture. :)  Maybe it's all those miles it's got behind it.

Do add this coin to my collection?

The oldest English coin I have is a George III.  So, I would love to own it.  But, like Ellekitty, I can't afford it at the moment.

 :) :) :) :)

No worries!  As much as I liked that coin, I'm very certain you will always have another that I like just as much. ;D
