Dr. Lawrence J. Lee of Striker Token and Medal is offering the newest category of closeout items from the Gallery Mint Museum, this time early cents. All these pieces were artfully struck from hand engraved dies in the same metal composition and size as the originals and were minted on presses that reflect the technology of the time.
Included in the offering are various reproductions of mint issued coins and patterns from the era of 1792-1799. Worthy of note are a few Chain and Wreath cents and and over thirty different archive set specimens, that comprise the first of ten strikes off the press. On top of that there are a few fantasy pieces.
It would be worth your while to check out the extensive list of items being offered, since it is not likely you'll see this many different types again being sold all in one place.

Came in the post today, very very nice.  One of those really mysterious pieces you buy as a piece of art, enigmatic and very well done piece.

Ooooh, Very nice!  I can see ElleK salivating after that!  ::)

It incorporates two of her favourite things.  Cats & Birds.  Watch Out SM.  ;D ;D

But of course!  Don't kitties chase birds, after all?  :D  And yes, I remember drooling over that exact piece on the website when this thread was first posted, but decided that it was too much money to spend on something that wouldn't fill a specific hole in one of my somewhat specific collections.  :(

Lovely disc, all the same. :)

Do add this coin to my collection?

Yes, but judging by your accumulations, you've got a bit more disposable income than do I!  ;D

I have lots and lots of stuff I will be selling soon, tonnes of banknotes, etc.  My problem is I loathe selling stuff on eBay, it is such a PITA.  I am thinking of selling stuff online from my website.
