Mexico Bi-Metallic
CoinCrusader42:
I just reported under "Interesting Finds" the fact that a convenience store clerk gave (traded for a quarter) me a Mexico Five Peso Bi-Metallic coin, 2003.
It's not the first I've seen, since we have taken several trips to Mexico, and I have brought back a bunch of Mexican coins.
I have noticed the inner core (copper?) doesn't seem to wear very well, but the outer core (steel?) does wear well.
All in all, I think it's an attractive coin.
Since I probably have better than 100 of the Mexican coins, I suppose I should look for some kind of folder or album, and start some new collections.
Anybody know if there is a company which produces folders or albums for Mexican coins?
:) :) :) :)
Triggersmob:
Gary, I can't help you with the albums.
I just wanted to say that Mexican coins are one of my favourites.
My collection has 98 coins so far.

The best I can offer anyone interested in Mexican coinage, is getting in touch with my friend Fernando Razo, at mexicancoinclub@yahoo.com . He's always interested in Mexican coins and more specifically, getting more people to collect them. :)
CoinCrusader42:
Steve,
This promise can't be done in the near future, but I will gladly send you my duplicates when I find where I hid them away.
:D :D :D :D
Triggersmob:
Thank you, Gary.
Much appreciated. :)
