Secret Santa Gifts Received
December 14, 2009, 10:26:52 PM
I received my Gift today, and it is GREAT.

There was an assortment of coins and currency both US and Foreign which I really like and a 2010 Coin Guide
but my favorite item that was in the package was a knight, sent to guard my life, family, and valuables.

Lucille (my wife) informed me that the knight was going to be put on display in with her collectible glassware where everyone could see it, not in my office.  We all know that you don't argue with the wife.

Thank you Santa your gift is much appreciated.

I love the Knight.
If I was going to guess, I would say Templar was your Secret Santa.

Received my excellent gift from my Secret Santa today.

A $1 coin for 60 Years of Australian Citizenship with "B" privymark and

the 2010 two coin uncirculated year set for 150th Anniversary of the Burke & Wills Expedition neither of which I had in my collection.

Many thanks Steve, great choice (your office return address did not fool me).    ;D

Excoriate means 'to peel'. Oca is a tuber, normally known in New Zealand as a yam (sweet potato), A potato is also a tuber. I receive 3 colorful potato peelers in which I used 1 of them on Christmas to 'excoriate a family member' of the oca....thus, I peeled potatos with the extra gift I received. Unnerstand?

I'm relieved in a way that I sent my 'extra' gift separately, as it seems that it might not have arrived and both items were posted to the same destination on the same day.

I was thinking that perhaps you were my secret santa Tobyle. Yesterday I recieved my extra gift. It was chocolate Australian coins and some vegemite! Thanks very much to whoever my ss was (I'm just guessing that its Tobyle) The chocolates are almost gone and I had my first ever tsate of vegemite on toast for breakfast this morning. Its very unusual. But I kinda like it in small quantities  ;D The flavor gets a little overpowering for me if I eat very much.  :)

Is there any way to know if everyone received their gifts? I only ask because I have not seen a posting from the person I sent a gift to. I hope it was not lost.  8)

Nor have I. I'm starting to worry. I think I sent it around the 11th.

I hated it as a kid ........ in fact, I don't think it was until I was in my 40s that I started to like it.

Now that Family have all gone home I have had a chance to look at my secret Santa gifts. I got a really nice assortment of coins and a medal.
An HMS Sydney medal
An Isle of man Crown to add to my large crown collection and its one I have never seen before
An some aussie decimal and pre-decimal coins to expand my pitiful down under collection.
Thank you my Santa from down under.

Eringobraugh do you have the square Polish coin you have pictured as we have one in our traveling Pet Set Excalibur. For some odd reason I favor Knight coins? ;)

I'm a little bit worried because my package should have gotten to its destination by now. But, the recipient hasn't been active in a while, so maybe he just hasn't gotten around to posting it yet.

My apologies for not getting acknowleding my secret santa earlier.  My SS gift arrived on 16 December.  It was a 1972 USA proof set and two wonderful uncirculated Eqyptian coins. Thank you very much SS.

The reason for not acknowledging the gift sooner was that I had incorrectly attributed the SS to the CCF forum SS.  My SS was and still remains a secret. Thank you.  The gift is wonderful.

No I have not been drinking I don't think. ;D What a way to start a post! I sent my S.S. gift in early Dec , but I did not know who the Knight or Knight es was so I thought I would wait until they posted what they got and then I would know who they are. Now I can.t remember what I sent so I don't know if any one got it or not. So if you happened to be the one who got a gift from me let Nevol know so she can put my mind to ease. Also one of my dogs is missing so if he was in the gift box he really likes hamburgers and having his back rubbed.  ;D

Pocketcoins,  I contacted your recipient on 14th Jan and it was confirmed that the gift you sent hasn't been received yet.  :-[

Gary, I also contacted your SS and was advised that your gift was sent "ages ago".   :-[

I feel that it's unlikely that either of these are going to surface after this long.  It's possible they went astray during the postal workers strike here in OZ.   :-\
