Rule#1 Every member who orders a 2008 Year of the Knightess Medallion in any quanity is automatically entered into this contest. One entry per member placing an order.
Rule#2 Each of those members will, by the 15th of November, submit the date the medallions will arrive at CoinCrusader's home for shipment to our members world wide. (Sorry Gary and Daniel you can't enter this one)
Rule#3 The member picking the date or the day closest to the medallions arrival at CoinCrusaders home will receive an uncirculated U.S. Morgan Dollar minted prior to 1904. The date and mint mark will be of my choice. The U.S. Morgan dollar was minted from 1878 thru 1921 (none through 1905 thru 1920). The Morgan is a crown sized silver dollar at 38.1 mm.
Rule #4 In the event of a tie a drawing will be held between those involved in the tie. My son will do the drawing under the watchful eye of the Queen of my household.
Rule#5 The winner will provide me with a shipping address after the winner is announced, should I not have it on hand.
Rule#6 DON'T LET ME FORGET ABOUT THIS CONTEST!!! ;D

The days are slowly passing by with NO winner in sight but.....Daniel Carr is hard at work at this present time. Will he be our Santa this year? Only he knows as we await word from CoinCrusader with the official arrival date at his castle in Colorado. One by one I will mark the above dates as ELIMINATED until the word arrives! Who is going to get this 1884-O (New Orleans) Morgan Dollar in unc? Will it be you?
(Soon to be 125yrs old!)
-
Sometime soon this contest will end as I am slowly eliminating those of you who did not confer with Merlin before making your guess!!! ;D
-
I realized the other day that my date had come and gone, lol. Thats too bad :'( Its a nice prize.
-
Let's all just bow to the inevitable. January 5th is the day. ;D
-
Well there are only a couple dates that stand in the way of your prediction. Will MURPHY"S LAW come into play for Dumanyu? Will all know in a few days won't we? ;D
-
Well, everybodys date has passed except mine.
Maybe being the pesimist was optimistic afterall.
-
Yes, but now you must beat the spread!!! I said whoever is closest!!! Eventually it will reach a point (I have not figured it up yet) where YOU must win Triggersmob but count the days from the last pick to your pick. It could go either way until it surpasses that date!!! Doesn't this add a little drama?
-
I am aware that you said the closest to the date. So that would now be a contest between Justa and myself. The half way between would be midnight on the 16th Jan. If it arrives before that, Justa wins another prize. After that it's "come to Daddy my little beauty" LOL.
Which ever way it goes, thanks for the contest Terry.
-
Boy my post worked like a charm!!! ;) Now I don't have to do any digging to see who will acually win this Morgan. Thanks Triggersmob for your efforts!!! It is now down to 2 for now with Triggersmob crossing his fingers, toes and eyes for good luck!!! ;D
-
Actually, has anyone heard from Justa, I haven't seen him post for a while.
He hasn't been on here since 6th Dec and haven't seen him on the Mum & Dad
stamp forum since 28th Nov.
-
It was his birthday on the 7th January.....I presume he is away for the school holidays.
-
Guys, sorry about not informing, but my time on coin forums will be severely cut down. Its my major exams this year, VCE. So I'll be spending more time on books rather than coins unfortunately. Hope everything is all well with everyone. :)
-
It is NOW official! Triggersmob has won the KOTCT Year of the Knightess contest. The 1884-0 Morgan will be shipped to Gary for placement in the Aussie medallion shipment. Congrats to Triggersmob!
-
We have a wiener!
-
We have a wiener!
Hey triggersmob! Thought you were a bit larger than that ;D ;D. Or was Edix talking about your schnitzel LOL
-
At 114kg, I certainly ain't no weiner. As for the schnitzel, that's for me to know. LOL
Twoshadows, thank you very much for the contest. I will give the Morgan a good home. :) :) :)
-
This Morgan Dollar would very much like a warmer climate, a good home and a loving atmosphere. We offered it all right here but the climate, thanks to Old Dan, CoinCrusader and Topher, is very frigid right now! Guess it will be coming your way!!! ;D
-
Well it's pretty warm here at the moment. 42 celcius the other day and did not go below 30 celcius all night. I wish I had air con.
That Morgan will never have to see snow again.
Many thanks, Terry.
-
Congratulations Steve! Well done. ;D ;D
-
Way to go Steve!!
Hey, I'll really TRY and REMEMBER to forward that dollar to you!
:D :D :D :D
-
Thank you, Gary.
If you forget, it will be along way for me to come and get them. LOL
I received another couple of silver dollars today, from a trade with Djluster.
1986 (P) Liberty dollar and 1972 (S) Eisenhower dollar. Thanks Danny.
-
Well done Steve....lucky guess though.....
-
lucky guess though.....
Hey! It still counts, right?
-
I hope it does as I have already kissed the 84 Morgan goodbye and sealed it in an envelope for mailing to CoinCrusader in Colorado. It will then be shipped by Burkes Turtle Service, along with the 2008 Medallions, to Humpybong for distribution among the Oz members. Sure hopes he gets that Morgan in the right envelope? ;)
-
In Steve's envelope went his medals, his silver dollar, some 2008 U.S. Nickels, and perhaps some wooden dollars, although I can't remember for sure.I'm really hoping that package shows up sometime next week.
:) :) :) :)
-
Thanks, Gary.
Can't wait to see the medals in the flesh.
I love those Morgans too.
