Hi:
Nice Hobo Nickels, Sir Templar.
I was fortunate enough to visit the Coin Show in Augusta, Georgia, last year. The Famous Numismatist, Professor, Experienced Collector and former ANA Governor
Mr. Bill Fivaz has conducted a Class on HOW TO GRADE BUFFALO NICKELS. He showed many slides and it was very informative.
I also saw a Collection of German Thalers.. and other German Rare coins with a German Coin Dealer. IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE TO SEE ALL THOSE RARE COINS.
After the Mr. Bill Fivaz's Class on Grading, there was a Gentleman. He is a Hobo. He told his experiences
He has told how Hobo Nickels are, now-a-days made by MACHINES. (Not carved by hand...like that of carved BY HAND in Olden Days
He has kindly gifted many gifted many Hobo Nickels to Young Collectors who have attended the Class. ANA has also gifted a Red Book, coins etc., to them.
I knew a Owner of BAHOO COIN GROUP, WHO IS A MACHINIST BY PROFESSION
He buys the DATELESS, Buffalo Nickels below 10 cents. He makes Hobo Nickels by Machine. He also RAISES THE YEAR Chemically and by Hand/Machine ans sell them for $15 and above.
AS A MACHINIST, HE MAKES A LOT OF HOBOS, QUICKLY.
SO
I REQUEST/ADVICE, CAUTION, WHILE BUYING THE 'HOBO NICKELS' Thanks
George
