THE FIRST IS A NORTH AFRICAN $5 BILL THE SEAL COLOR IS YELLOW AND THE OBVERSE IS THE SAME SO I DID NOT SCAN THAT ONE.....(http://)

Nice notes Joe. Thanks for sharing! :)
-
Really nice notes, I like the old paper. What makes the 1934 A series $5 note a North African note?

No, I am sorry, but I don't have any Aussie notes to share with you.
This one from Sarawak would have been circulating during the war though...

Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? ;D Your right on the money ;D Looking in Kenneth Bressett book United States Currency he says the Yellow Seal Silver Certificates were issued in North Africa during operations there in 1942. Later they were issued briefly at the beginning of the Sicilian campaign. So now we know, we even know what year the bill was issued now. ;D

Nice note Steve! I don't even have that one in my collection! LOL ;D
-
THANKS POCKETS FOR CONFIRMING MY INFORMATION....ITS ALWAYS GOOD TO GET ANOTHER OPINION ESPECIALLY WHEN IT BACKS YOU UP..

Nice note Steve! I don't even have that one in my collection! LOL ;D
It was one of the first I ever added to my collection.
It's not in very good condition, many folds and holes, but
I believe it might be a bit rare. If you can't find a better one
and you would like one, let me know and it's yours.
-
IF NIGHTHAWK PASSES THIS UP I WOULD CERTAINLY WANT IT...
-
Not a problem, Joe.
Let's wait and see what John says.
-
Steve, I wouldn't want to ask you to part with one of the first notes in your collection. It must mean something to you. Let Joe have it if he wants. No hard feelings here! :)
-
WELL I AM STILL INTERESTED IN THE NOTE..........LET ME KNOW ONE WAY OR ANOTHER........NO HARD FEELINGS IF YOU DECIDE TO KEEP IT

It's OK guys. I am not emotionally attached to it. As I have said before I am
not a big banknote collector and I feel it would be more appreciated in your hands.
I will send it over as part of the trade for the stamps. Joe you can have it then.
John, if you like, you can check out my collection and pick something else.

There are some that I would like to keep, but pick one and we'll see.
