30th Anniversary of the $2 Coin
June 22, 2018, 04:07:17 PM
The RAM had released a 12 coin set ($75) has the commemorates, details on the Web site, looks a nice. I was lucky enough to get one of the three coin proof $2 sets.  They only made 1988 ($50).  Ebay had them from around $250.

All these coins are dated 2018, so they are not quite the same as the original releases.

Unfortunately, that's true.
I decided to pass on it.

:) Just history for me. Actually, I collect very little now.  The PNC days of the past with three or four per year, has one wondering how can they get 20 plus per year?  I recently wandered into a coin shop, to see a 1998 mint set for $30!!!! a snap seeing the price of the 1998 ten cent.  I went through what they had to get a 1992, 1993, 1995 and 1997 @ $30, the 1997 50, had a double bar.   They'd been to a coin show and had not adjusted prices.     ;D
