Rising cost for collectable coins
October 31, 2008, 05:18:05 PM
Was in my dealers the other day to order my 2009 sets, and the prices have increased. As I understand, these increases are to off-set the rising costs to produce normal circulating coinage?

Please note the following on the www.ramint.gov.au

The 2009 Six Coin Proof Set was incorrectly advertised at $115.00 both in the Mint Issue, order form and on the website, the correct price is $95.00, with an increase to $115.00 to take effect from the 31/12/08. The Royal Australian Mint apologises for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Some dealers may be selling them for $115.  If they are, then buy them from the mint shop (if possible).

Some (probably most) dealers are honouring orders that were taken at $95.  But they're Not happy, Jane!
