HORSE BLANKETS

(1/3) > >>

Templar:
THE UNITED STATES USED TO HAVE LARGE PAPER MONEY AS DID MANY COUNTRIES...........THESE NOTES WERE AFFECTIONATELY CALLED "HORSE BLANKETS"......THE ART WORK ON THESE NOTES WAS VERY UNIQUE AND THEY ARE MUCH SOUGHT AFTER NOW......HOWEVER THE COSTS ARE VERY HIGH THE BETTER THE CONDITION AND THE GOOD ONES ARE FAST DISAPPEARING..........TODAY I WAS ABLE TO GET ONE OF MY FAVORITES EVEN THOUGH I WILL BE SLEEPING OUTSIDE THE CASTLE FOR AWHILE.....I HOPE YOU SEE WHY I LIKE IT SO MUCH

     YOUR DOG HOUSED SERVANT......THE TEMPLAR

Templar:
AND THE REVERSE

          THEY MEASURE 3 AND 1/4 X 7 AND 1/2 INCHES

Triggersmob:
I'll just go fetch my horse. LOL
I don't own any of these, but a friend showed be a huge note he has from Russia.
It's like the size of a A4 sheet of paper.

Nighthawk:
Beautiful note Joe!

Steve: I have one of those huge Russian notes you speak of. They make Templar's "horse blanket" look TINY!  :)

AdamL:
I've always wanted an example of that note in my collection! Nice! As you said though, they're pricey in high quality, and I have SO many coin projects going on  :-\
