Weather For Sale!
March 07, 2008, 11:56:38 PM
Okay folks, I have had enough of this weather so I am offering our latest snow storm up for sale. If interested I can throw in blizzard conditions as well! Sooner or later this MUST end and if not, I will ship it to the highest bidder, but be prepared for outrageous shipping charges on this mess!!!

Shoveled the drive when I got home about an hour ago and you can't even tell it now!!!

Won't it ever end??? :'(

So much for global warming, this is the harshest winter in the 10.5 years I have lived in yankeedom.  My wife says it is a good thing this was not the winter we had when we moved here, or we would have gone back to TX.

We are also having the opposite problem here in Perth. We have just sweltered through our hottest Summer for 45 years and  hottest January on record.

So I think global warming is well a truly happening here.

I'll bid a $1 on some snow.

It's strange - here in Sydney we've had a milder summer than the last few years - and for a change, I don't think we've had any problems with bush fires either (maybe all the rain has had something to do with that!)
I've just received the lowest summer electricity bill than I have for years - so that was a nice change too.

Old Dan I can just picture the fire place burning and a big plate of fried taters, beans and buffalo steaks as we sit and pass the winter away at your place looking at coins! What a way to spend the winter!!!

And, to all you folks who THINK we send them bad weather, IT JUST AIN'T SO.  We, living in the midwest get all this crap from down south, out west and from our neighbors to the north who, when they can't supply the snow, just send the artic air REPEATEDLY throughout the course of the winter. The only people who don't mess with us are the folks on the east coast whom we pass this off on with our compliments! That helps keep those eastern city slickers out of Indiana!!! ;D

I hear Ohio is going to break their record for snowfall last set back in 1910.

I spent the winter a few hundred yards from lake Michigan back in 1976. After that I never went back up north in the winter.  :(

Just got home from a trip to northern Colorado.  In fact, came within 10 miles of OldDan's Wyoming.

Snow through North Park, Colorado, completely covered the fence posts.  I estimate four feet deep.

Was told by a friend today that snow on Grand Mesa (30 miles from here) is four to five feet deep.

Looks like lots of water in the reservoirs for boating this summer.

 :) :) :) :)

Boy, they sure build churches short there don't they? Guess most of it MUST be underground or somethng like that! I would like to take the time to thank Old Dan and Topher for keeping their fair share of the white stuff this winter. We have been blessed with the simple fact, after every snow or ice storm, it has warmed up a bit to melt most of it off before the next round!

We have been blessed with the simple fact, after every snow or ice storm, it has warmed up a bit to melt most of it off before the next round!

That's our problem this year.  Usually we get the same, but it's been below freezing for all but a couple of days this year, so the snow doesn't get a chance to melt!  It doesn't usually get cold enough in Toronto to need block heaters for the cars, but I've had several days where it was so cold that my car had trouble starting.  My wife, of course, get's the garage.

I have seen days where the poor old car refused to start but luckily none of those this winter. Threw in a new battery last fall that has enough amps to jump start an elephant! Weather warmed up today and most of the white stuff has disappeared AGAIN!!!

I've got the ice to go with your water.  Ours can't make up it's mind so it snows, then turns to freezing rain, then rain, then back to freezing rain, then it all ices over night and we start over again the next day.  I think I saw a curb the other day!  LOL
