Thank you everyone. I'm very excited, and I don't quite yet know when we'll be moving in. We're still waiting on the financial officer to call back with the loan details, and then on the builders to turn the keys over to us. We're looking at a move-in date of March 22. The Housewarming party probably won't take place til May. Or after. I promise I will post an announcement for everyone here.
Don't worry Humpy, you're not rid of me that easily! I won't be going anywhere, nor will I be stopping collecting coins. I just won't have the same budget that I've had.
And.. it's taken me a bit to realise why everyone is talking about water... it's the picture of the backyard!
That isn't the ocean, nor even a lake. There's a little tank back there (pond for those who don't speak Texan), but the reflections are just buildings.
I wish I could get a nice house like that on the beach! That'd be fantastic!
And, as for the backyard... I want to terrace it. Two, maybe three levels.. with stone retaining walls. A wooden deck right at the backdoor with a pergola shading it. My husband has decided he wants grape vines to grow on the pergola. *sigh* Ah, dreams.
we'll see how many of them come true.
