TwoShadows:
Years ago, while on a bicycle tour of Indiana, we passed through a small town whose only claim to fame was the "Last two story outhouse in Indiana."  I see that Old Dan and his fellow historians have managed to save one out west? I suppose the upstairs was reserved for the rich? ;)

Templar:
MAYBE THEY WERE BUILT LIKE THAT BECAUSE OF DRIFTING SNOW.......IN THE UPPER PART OF MICHIGAN MANY HOUSES HAVE A DOOR ON THE SECOND FLOOR BUT NO STAIRS---IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY YOU COULD GET OUT BY STEPPING OUT THE SECOND STORY DOOR--

     YOU JUST NEVER KNOW...THE TEMPLAR

How many of you have ever seen one of these?
Note: When you are in the lower level and hear someone
enter the upper level, it's is a  little unnerving to say the least

I have heard of such things but never really believed they actually existed. When some of the folks were going off to the city they would wright back home about having 4 room and a bath, and my dad would say I would rather have my 2 rooms and a path.  ;D
